one of the most time honored traditional Chinese pharmacy. Continue to the Forbidden City, now called the Palace Museum. Revel at the former residence of the emperors of the Ming & Qing
Dynasties. After lunch, visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best preserved imperial Chinese garden. Tonight feast on a Peking duck dinner banquet before an amazing Chinese Acrobatics
show.
| | Day 4: Beijing (B/L/D) | top | Today's highlight is climbing the Great Wall of China. This imposing and ancient Chinese structure, stretching over 6,000km of mountain terrain, is one of the few visible man-made structures from the moon. After lunch, visit the Sacred Way of the Ming Tombs.
| | Day 5: Beijing—Nanjing (B/L/D) | top | Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Nanjing, one of the six grand ancient capitals of China. Upon arriving, visit the Great Yangtze River Bridge, a double-decker bridge that is used as a
highway and railway. Enjoy some free time at the Confucius Temple shopping area before dinner.
| | Day 6: Nanjing—Wuxi (B/L/D) | top | The morning is spent visiting Dr. Sun Yat Sen's Mausoleum, dedicated to China's revolutionary forerunner. Visit the Jade Gallery of Nanjing to learn the artistry of jade before enjoying
lunch at a local restaurant. Depart for the beautiful city of Wuxi, situated along the banks of Lake Taihu. Take a leisurely stroll at Xihui Park before visiting the Purple Sand Teapot Workshop.
| | Day 7: Wuxi—Suzhou (B/L/D) | top | After breakfast, visit the Three Kingdom City, a movie studio which was first built for the famous Chinese TV series "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms." Continue to visit the Taihu Fresh Water Pearl Farm. After lunch, transfer to Suzhou, nicknamed the "Venice of the East." A city tour includes Hanshan Temple and Master of the Nets Garden. After dinner, take a stroll along Guanqian Street, the most famous night shopping street in Suzhou.
| | Day 8: Suzhou—Wuzhen—Hangzhou (B/L/D) | top | Visit a well-known silk factory where you can view the marvelous silk productions of Suzhou. Depart for Hangzhou, the other "heavenly city on earth." En route, visit the famous water county of Wuzhen before arriving into Hangzhou. A cruise on West Lake reveals the charm of the city. Your last stop is at General Yue Fei's Mausoleum before dinner at a local restaurant.
| | Day 9: Hangzhou—Shanghai (B/L/D) | top | Learn the craft of green tea production at the Dragon Well Tea Plantation, known as the best green tea in China, having won many awards throughout its long history. Return to Shanghai by coach, visiting the Qipu Road Wholesale market upon your arrival. Test your bargaining skills here, as the market sells everything you can imagine. Visit the Bund, the famous Shanghai waterfront before dinner this evening.
