| Day 1 Los Angeles - Tokyo | top | Depart on your transpacific flight for Tokyo.
| | Day 2 Tokyo ( D ) | top | Arrive at Narita International Airport in the early evening. After clearing customs, you will be met by a Signature Travel & Tours Program Manager who will escort you back to the hotel. Enjoy some time to freshen up before tonight's welcome dinner.
| | Day 3 Tokyo (B/L/D) | top | Enjoy a Japanese-style buffet breakfast at the hotel. Begin your city tour with a visit to the Edoko Museum, which has on exibhition scale models of ancient buildings and other artifacts from Old Tokyo. Continue to Asakusa Kanon Temple, the symbol of Tokyo. Enjoy some time to stroll along the Nakamise Shopping arcade, featuring traditional stores and local food stalls, perhaps trying some local sweet treats. Today's afternoon meal features the traditional Japanese bento style lunch. The late afternoon is spent traveling to Tokyo's Bay where you will get a panorama of the city on a bay cruise. Watch as the sun sets along the bay, a fantastic photo opportunity. Round out your evening with an after dinner stroll at Odaiba, a massive shopping complex that combines two shopping structures.
| | Day 4 Tokyo - Owakudani (B/L/D) | top | Take a morning scenic drive to Hakone National Park and Peace Garden, located southwest of Tokyo
between the Suruga and Sagami bays. Continue to the Owakudani Volcano Valley, characterized by bubbly and steaming spouts. Arrive at Lake Ashi, where you will board an ornate pirate ship for a cruise around the lake. Depart for Lake Kawaguchi where you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Continue on to your hotel for the evening, a quaint Japanese hotel that offers both Western and traditional Japanese style rooms. Dress up in the kimono robes provided by the hotel for a festive and fun dinner this evening. You'll have access to the hotel's hot spring facilities for a soak.
| | Day 5 Owakudani - Mt. Fuji - Kyoto ( B/L ) | top | Enjoy the morning learning the tea-making process at a local plantation. Travel to Nagoya Castle, one of the three most famous castles in Japan. After lunch, we travel to Kyoto by bullet train. Upon arrival, a fun visit to Kyoto Isetan Department store, where you cans hop to your heart's content and have dinner at one of the many restaurants.
| | Day 6 Kyoto - Osaka ( B/L ) | top | Visit the Golden Pavillion, a Zen temple formally knonw as Rokuonji. The top two levels of the temple is covered in gold leaf and serves as a shrine, housing relics of Buddha. Enjoy a special visit to a Nishijin Kimono showroom, where kimonos are made of gorgeous Nishijin textile. Make sure your camera is charged for today's breath-taking panoramic view of Kyoto atop the hillside at Kiyomizu Temple. Be sure to drink some water from the Otowa waterfall, said to have therapeutic properties. Travel to Osaka in the afternoon where you will have some free time to enjoy dinner at Dontonburi, a popular dining area with the locals.
| | Day 7 Osaka – Nara – Kobe - Osaka ( B/L/D) | top | Nara was the capital of Japan for 74 years. Your tour of Nara starts with a visit to Deer Park, where you have the opportunity to feed the adorable deer roaming free around the park. Todaiji Temple is one of the oldest temples in Japan, housing an indoor bronze Buddhist Buddha statue in the country. Kasuga Shrine is known for its lanterns made of bronze, stone and wood. Next, travel to Kobe to visit a local sake factory. Your last stop today is at the Kobe Chinatown before returning to Osaka.
| | Day 8 Osaka - Honolulu ( B ) | top | The morning is free for you to relax at the hotel or spend some of your last yen at the nearby Outlets Shopping Center. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Honolulu. Airport meet and greet by the local guide. Transfer to the hotel to check in.
| | Day 9 Honolulu | top | The entire day is left for you to relax beachside or poolside.
| | Day 10 Honolulu - Los Angeles | top | The morning is left free for you to do some last minuteshopping. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight home.
