Begin with a visit at one of the largest public squares in the world, Tiananmen Square. A short walk from here will lead you to the entrance of the Forbidden City, now called the Palace Museum. This exquisite palace has been wellpreserved and demonstrates the grandeur of the royal family. After lunch visit the Summer Palace, the summer retreat of the royal family. End the day at the Temple of Heaven, a temple built to give offerings to the gods. Enjoy a Kung Fu Show tonight.
| | Day 4: Beijing (B/L/D) | top | Take an excursion to the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China. This man-made structure is one of the greatest accomplishments made by China. You'll have the opportunity to climb this great structure. After lunch, visit the Ming Tombs before returning to the city. Tonight's dinner features the famed Peking Duck.
| | Day 5: Beijing-Shanghai (B/L) | top | Transfer to the airport for a short flight to Shanghai, China"s bustling metropolis. Upon your arrival, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to the hotel to check in. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax at the hotel. Enjoy the night scenery of Shanghai with a Huangpu River Cruise.
| | Day 6: Shanghai (B/L) | top | Begin the morning with a visit to Shanghai"s famous harbour called "the Bund." Continue to the Jade Buddha Temple, an active Buddhist Temple as well as being one of the richest in the city. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city at Yuyuan Garden, located in old Shanghai. Take a stroll along the shopping street of Nanjing Road before returning to your hotel. Tonight’s entertainment features a Chinese Acrobatics Show.
| | Day 7: Shanghai-Suzhou-Shanghai (B/L) | top | An excursion today takes you to Suzhou, one of the "two heavenly cities" on earth. Suzhou is famed for its gardens and canals. You will have the opportunity to stroll through the Master of the Nets Garden, a charming and quaint garden that features the architecture and landscapes of a classical Chinese Garden. Enjoy a cruise along the Grand Canal around the city. After lunch, visit a local silk factory to learn the art of silk production before returning to Shanghai.
