    Day 3 Beijing (D) top
    Arrive into the capital city of Beijing in the late morning. After clearing customs and claiming your luggage, a Signature Travel & Tours Program Manager will be there to meet and greet you. Transfer to the hotel to check in. Enjoy some time to freshen up before an afternoon tour of Old Beijing. Experience the simpler times of daily life in Beijing with a Hutongs rickshaw ride around Houhai Lake.

    Day 4 Beijing (B / L / D) top
    Your Beijing city tour begins at one of the largest public squares in the world, Tiananmen Square. Take a short stroll across the street to enter the Forbidden City, the largest and best preserved imperial palace in the world. Due to the shortness of time, the tour will highlight the main Halls of the Imperial Palace. Both the Inner and Outer courts will be visited. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Summer Palace, the summer residence of the royal family. The Palace was originally constructed during the Jin Dynasty and has been expanded upon in subsequent dynasties, until it reached its current state of grandeur during the Qin Dynasty. Tonight's dinner features the famed Peking Duck.

    Day 5 Beijing (B / L / D) top
    Travel outside the city center today to the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China, one of the Eight Wonders of the World. The wall was built during the Ming Dynasty and stretches 373 miles across China. The Badaling section of the wall is 43 miles long and is the outpost of the Juyongguan Pass. The entire morning is spent at the wall where you can climb and explore at your leisure. Return to the city to visit the Olympic Park, the location of the national stadium and Water Cube used during the Summer Olympics. View the mastery of Shaolin martial arts at tonight's Kungfu Show.

    Day 6 Beijing - Xian (B / L / D) top
    Spend the morning at the peaceful Temple of Heaven, a complex that is larger than the Forbidden City. The temple was built in 1420 and used by the royal family to offer sacrifices to heaven. After your visit, transfer to the airport for a short flight to Xian, the ancient capital of China. Enjoy lunch before visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a pagoda made famous by the novel Journey to the West. Check into your hotel to freshen up before enjoying a hot pot dinner this evening.
    

    Day 7 Xian (B / L / D) top
    Depart for the countryside of Xian to visit the famed excavation site of the Terra Cotta Warriors. The archeological excavation happened upon in 1974 when a farmer was digging for a well as China was going through a drought phase. The 7,000 life-size figures of soldiers, horses, chariots, and weapons are arranged in battlefield formation, symbolically guarding the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang in his afterlife. Visit the onsite museum to view some of the other treasures unearthed by the excavation. Return to the city center in the afternoon, spending time biking along the City Wall. Tonight's entertainment features the wonderful Tang Dynasty Show that includes music and dance in traditional costumes of the Tang Dynasty.

    Day 8 Xian – Guilin (B / L / D) top
    A morning flight takes you to Guilin, the 'pearl of China.' Enjoy lunch before an afternoon city tour visiting Elephant Trunk Hill and the Reed Flute Cave. Elephant Trunk Hill, located on the western bank of the Li River, is shaped in the form of an elephant when viewed from the side, hence its namesake. The Reed Flute Cave is a spectacular cave filled with various stalactites, stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition. The illumination of the cave by colored lighting enhances your experience.

    Day 9 Guilin - Yangshuo (B / L / D) top
    The majority of the morning is spent on a leisurely cruise along the Li River. Each bend and turn along the river reveals breath taking scenery. Enjoy a buffet lunch on board before disembarking in the small town of Yangshuo. Walk along the famous West Street, lined with cafes, restaurants, hotels, and curio shops. This evening's entertainment features the Impression of Sanjie Liu show, deemed the world's largest natural theater which utilizes the waters of the Li River as its stage. The seven chapters of the performance are expertly performed, combining song and dance with a light show on the river.

    Day 10 Yangshuo - Guilin (B / L / D) top
    Enjoy the morning brisk air at Moon Hill, a large slice of rock with a round hole in its center that creates the image of a moon. Ascend the 800 steps on the marble paved mountain path to the top, enjoying a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Located north of Moon Hill is the Big Banyan Tree, towering at 23 feet high and was planted during the Sui Dynasty. Return to Guilin in the afternoon.

    Day 11 Guilin – Shanghai – Hangzhou (B / L / D) top
    Depart for a morning flight to Shanghai. Continue to Hangzhou by coach. Your Hangzhou city tour begins Fei Lai Feng, which loosely translates to Peak flown from afar. This pure limestone mountain stands apart from the surrounding sandstone mountains, containing many rock carvings alongside the mountain. The mountain's cave also shelters approximately 330 stone statues dating from the 10th to the 14th centuries. Located next to Fei Lai Feng is the famed Ling Yin Temple, a center for the study of Buddhism. The temple contains an important collection of Buddhist literature along with many other treasures. Hangzhou has long been renowned for its tea culture, the most famous named Longjing or Dragon Well. A visit to the Longjin Tea Plantation gives an informative demonstration on the growing, cultivation, and production of tea.

    Day 12 Hangzhou – Suzhou – Shanghai (B / L / D) top
    The morning is spent on a cruise around Westlake, one of the five largest freshwater lakes in China. Travel to Suzhou by coach, located in the center of the Yangtze Delta. Suzhou, one of the "two heavenly cities on earth," is renowned for its classical Chinese gardens and silk production. Your Suzhou visit begins at the Garden of Master of Nets, a small and quaint garden. The expert layout of the garden allows the visitor to enjoy a fantastic view of the center pond and the surrounding pavillions, regardless of where you stand in the garden. Hanshan Temple, also called Cold Mountain Temple, is considered one of the most famous temples in Chinese history for its bell rings and Buddhism culture. When visiting the temple, remember to ring the bell atop the Bell Tower three times, signifying health, prosperity, and longevity. Depart for Shanghai in the late afternoon.

    Day 13 Shanghai (B / L / D) top
    A morning visit to the famous Shanghai waterfront called the 'Bund.' Along the eastern side of the Huangpu river are colonial style buildings, remnants from Shanghai's colonization period. Across the river is the new, emerging skyline filled with skyscrapers, representing Shanghai's fast growth and development. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city at Yuyuan Garden located in the center of the Yuyuan Bazaar. The garden replicates the classical style of gardens similar to those found in Suzhou. The well trained performers at tonight's Acrobatics Show will give you an unforgettable experience.

    Day 14 Shanghai – Los Angeles (B) top
    The morning is free for you to do some last minute shopping. Transfer to the airport for your departure flight home or continue your tour with one of our popular optional extensions.
