| | Day 3 Hanoi (D) | top | Arrive into Hanoi in the morning. After claiming your luggage and clearing customs, you will be met by a Signature Travel & Tours Program Manager. Transfer to the hotel to check in. Enjoy some time to relax before an afternoon tour around the Old Quarters by 'cyclo.' This evening, meet your fellow travelers at the welcome dinner featuring the local favorite, beef noodle soup also known as 'pho.'
| | Day 4 Hanoi - Halong Bay (B / L / D) | top | Travel to the northern city of Halong in the early morning to board the Indochina Sails ship. The boat will set sail along Halong Bay at noon, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch on board docking at Bat Cave. You have the option to visit a local fishing village by tender boat or go on a guided kayak tour of the cave. The afternoon shore excursion takes you to Soi Sim beach. Arrive at the boat's docking area at Luon Bo in the early evening. Enjoy a sundowner on deck before dinner.
| | Day 5 Halong Bay - Hanoi (B / L / D) | top | An early morning session of Tai Chi is offered on deck should you wish to do some stretching or you can watch the sun rise over the limestone cliffs. Enjoy brunch on board before returning to Hanoi by car. An afternoon tour of Hanoi begins at the One Pillar Pagoda, constructed by Emperor Ly Thai Tong, to resemble a lotus blossom. The Temple of Literature was founded in 1070 by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong and dedicated to Confucius. Vietnam's first university was also established here to educate the sons of mandarins. View the former residence of Ho Chi Minh, a stilt house constructed in the style of Vietnam's ethnic minority groups. Tonight’s dinner features grilled fish.
| | Day 6 Hanoi - Hue (B / L / D) | top | Board a morning flight for Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Hue to this day remains one of Vietnam's cultural, religious, and education centers. Upon your arrival, visit Tu Hieu Pagoda in Thuy Xuan Village. Spend the afternoon at the Royal Tomb of Tud Duc. The tomb includes 50 monuments surrounded by a 1500m high wall. A stroll at the local Dongba Market delights your senses.
| | Day 7 Hue (B / L / D) | top | The majority of the morning is spent on a cruise along the Perfume River. Your first stop along the river is at Thien Mu Pagoda, founded in 1601 by Lord Nguyen Hoang. Continue on to visit the Royal Tomb of Minh Mang, set amidst frangipani trees and pine groves, creating a peaceful and ethereal setting. Return to the city center in the afternoon to visit the Citadel, the city's Imperial Palace. After dinner, enjoy a traditional music show on the Perfume River.
| | Day 8 Hue - Danang - Hoi An (B / L / D) | top | Depart for Danang in the morning. Danang is considered the fourth largest city, located at the northern limits of Vietnam's tropical zone. Tour the famed China Beach and Marble Mountains before arriving in Hoi An.
| | Day 9 Hoi An - Danang - Nha Trang (B / L / D) | top | Discover the charms of this picturesque riverside town with a morning walking tour. Return to Danang to board a short flight for Nha Trang, the coastal beach city of Vietnam.
| | Day 10 Nha Trang (B / L / D) | top | A morning excursion takes you to Lienson to board a boat to Lao Island, also called Monkey Island. Relax at Doc Let beach, where you will have time to swim or take in some optional water activities. Return to the city in the afternoon and visit the local Dam Market.
| | Day 11 Nha Trang - Dalat (B / L / D) | top | Spend the morning traveling to Dalat, 180km southwest of Nha Trang. Check into the hotel upon your arrival. An afternoon city tour highlights Bich Chau Flower Garden and the Valley of Love.
| | Day 12 Dalat (B / L) | top | Continue your Dalat city tour visting Truc Lam Buddhist Pagoda, Tuyen Lam Lake, Datanla Falls, and Bao Dai's Summer Palace. The evening is free for you to explore the local markets.
| | Day 13 Dalat - Ho Chi Minh (B / L / D) | top | Today's drive takes you to Ho Chi Minh city. Upon arriving into the city, enjoy a city tour, visiting Chinatown, Ben Thanh Market, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Reunification Palace. Tonight's farewell dinner is at a local restaurant.
